Hestia Homes
for Children
About us
Our goal
Hestia Homes for Children was founded in 2021 by Nicola Markham and set up by Tracey Beales. Together, they had a shared vision to provide a homely environment where children and young people are supported to thrive.
Our goal is to enable our children and young people to feel safe, secure, and valued. We endeavour to promote the safety and well-being of the children and young people in our care, build confidence and self-esteem, and promote diversity and equal opportunities to ensure that they are viewed and heard as individuals.
We provide a family orientated atmosphere where positive relationships are built on mutual respect, trust and understanding, enabling them to develop the skills they need to live a full and happy life, and achieve positive outcomes.
Our Approach
explore, develop and achieve
We believe every child or young person should feel special, safe, and comfortable, and be provided with opportunities to explore, develop and achieve in all aspects of their life. We believe every child and young person is entitled to a happy life, with support and guidance that promotes, embraces and safeguards their health, development, welfare, and protects them from harm.
Our approach is based on the premise that the safety and welfare of our children and young people is paramount.
We acknowledge and understand that in order to achieve this, children and young people require positive role models, and positive relationships with the adults that care for them, which should be based on mutual trust, clear and consistent boundaries, and respect.
Our team
explore, develop
and achieve
The staff team are the key to achieving positive experiences and outcomes for children and young people and we recognise this and underpin it with
our training.
We believe that children should live in a home that has a family orientated atmosphere, which is safe and structured, responsive to change, and that learns from experiences.
Our Home
Foxes Lodge
Foxes Lodge is a spacious and comfortable family style home with 5 large, individual bedrooms. The Home has a good sized kitchen/diner with a conservatory dining room where the children and young people can enjoy cooking and eating with each other and the adults in the Home. There is a cosy and spacious lounge for watching TV and socialising as well as a well equiped activity room and sensory room. Foxes Lodge boasts a 2/3 acre garden with a significant area laid to lawn and patio areas. There is a trampoline with flashing lights and plenty of space for our big paddling pool in the summer. In the garden we enjoy BBQs and outdoor eating in the warmer months and the children and young people have enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.
